Hello, everyone, and thank you for joining us today. We are here to talk about a fascinating and critical topic, the undeniable connection between your digestive and mental health, the gut brain connection. I'm thrilled to introduce you to the Cylinder Health Program, a virtual digestive health benefit available to Cornell University's endowed faculty, staff

and their dependents aged 18 and older who are enrolled in an Aetna medical plan.

Best of all, this program is available to you at absolutely no cost. At cylinder, we call digestive health the biggest problem no one talks about. It impacts nearly 1 in 4 Americans and often carries a heavy stigma that drains productivity and personal well-being. Many of you are likely not comfortable discussing what you're truly feeling. Digestive health research tells us why this connection is so vital.

Your gut is often referred to as the body's second brain. It is lined with over 100 million neurons, more than your spinal cord or peripheral nervous system. Furthermore, an astonishing 95% of the body's serotonin, often called the happiness hormone, is manufactured by your gut bacteria. This means the state of your gut directly influences your mood and overall well-being.

So who can benefit from cylinder? It's for anyone dealing with symptoms like bloating, constipation, diarrhea, or irregular bowel movements, as well as diagnose conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, or Gerd. But it's also for those who want to improve their quality of life by better managing sleep, stress, anxiety or weight. Today, we are here to bring awareness to how cylinder can impact an issue that nearly 1 in 4 Americans experience.

Digestive conditions, impact physical and mental well-being, drain productivity and leave sufferers feeling alone and hopeless. Unfortunately, digestive health is a whispered topic among those who are suffering. It carries stigma and embarrassment for most of the people living with these conditions and symptoms. So when we say no one talks about it, we mean that literally. The cylinder program is your all in one solution.

It centers around three key pillars. First, access to a dedicated care team, including 24 over seven access to a health coach and registered dietitian. Second, a comprehensive platform featuring an app with articles, courses and trackers for food symptoms and stool. And third, a focus on novel biomarkers, including a Gut Check microbiome test kit to personalize your nutrition and care.

Cylinder is centered around personalized care plans. Every member receives a tailored action plan to guide their health journey. This plan includes education about their condition through short guided courses, videos and articles. By breaking down these personalized actions into manageable categories. We ensure that positive, lasting life improvements become more achievable. The cylinder program has three simple phases. Phase one set your baseline.

This involves downloading the app, completing your health history, ordering your gut check test kit, and meeting your care team. Phase two improve symptoms. You'll begin your personalized care plan, tracking your nutrition and symptoms and setting customized goals with your care team. Phase three feel your best. This phase is about embedding behavior change and whole person care through continued care, team appointments, and access to our learning center.

Full of webinars, articles and courses. Ready to start feeling your best. If you are an endowed Cornell faculty or staff member, or dependent over 18 enrolled in an Aetna medical plan, you are eligible. You can register by visiting go dot cylinder health.com/cornell. On the registration page, please click register and use the company code. Cornell. Remember, the name you enter must match the spelling on your Aetna ID card.

Hi everyone. I'm going to walk you through Hinge Health, a benefit offer for endowed faculty, staff and their dependents 18 years or older enrolled in an Aetna medical plan through Cornell University.

Hinge health is a program designed to help you care for your body, whether you're dealing with back and joint pain, recovering from an injury, or looking to stay healthy and active.

We also address public health concerns and improve mobility for our members.

We provide care for nearly all body parts from the neck and upper back, down to the ankles and feet.

Members can also work on multiple body parts at the same time. And all of our programs are designed with evidence based guidelines and informed by the latest clinical research.

Let's jump into some program highlights.

Hinge health is a single comprehensive solution for everybody and every body part.

Whether your pain is chronic or you have a recent acute injury, or you're looking for preventative care, we have a pathway for you.

All of these programs will include instant access to a care team, a customized care plan based on your specific need, and additional resources to help establish habits to build a healthy lifestyle.

A pelvic floor program helps men and women reduce pain and build muscle so that they can find relief.

And within this pathway, we have personalized exercise therapy and support with a pelvic floor trained physical therapist.

We can help members with bladder control, pelvic strengthening, pelvic pain, as well as through pregnancy and postpartum.

We're also able to tailor exercise therapy to support other pelvic health symptoms, such as leakage, pain in the groin and hips, and much more.

The Hinge Health app combines technology with one on one care to deliver a comprehensive experience. A few of the highlights here include motion insights, your daily playlist, and the My Care tab. So let's break it down. Starting with the left hand side.

Your daily playlist change as you progress through your program, and this playlist actually becomes more challenging as you improve week over week.

The exercises each day are different, and they're designed to work the whole body area of concern.

We also have Motion Insights, which is a technology that guides our members through their exercises. And it also gives real time audio and visual feedback on their form. Using the device's camera.

It's able to support our members in reaching full range of motion, and it'll track the reps of each exercise as well.

Last but not least, we have the Medicare tab.

This is where you can find both your PPT as well as your health coach, and you can message your care team for any assistance at any time. And also book a one on one video. Visit.

We also have a device that's unique to Hinge Health. It's called the Enzo. It's a groundbreaking wearable technology for pain management.

It's both non-addictive and noninvasive.

The Enzo uses electrical nerve stimulation to address musculoskeletal pain without drugs or surgery.

I like to call the Enzo an elevated tens unit because, well, it does use similar mechanisms through that nerve stimulation. Our Enzo penetrates deeper and it covers a

broader area to more effectively reduce pain.

It's also completely wireless, making it comfortable to wear during exercise therapy or doing daily activities

like your daily playlist.

The Enzo sessions will be found in the app as well, and it's paired by Bluetooth so members can easily adjust the intensity of that electrical nerve stimulation.

Of course, technology and exercise therapy are big components of our program, but so are the people behind them. So kicking it off with our doctors and physical therapy, they provide guidance on exercise, posture and lifestyle changes to improve things like strength, flexibility and just overall function.

They monitor progress and provide support along the way.

They also lead the care team with their carefully curated programs and can further personalize this as they work with you.

Your exercises will be monitored and adjusted as needed by your team.

Again, like I mentioned earlier, this kind of access will be at your fingertips as you navigate through your playlist each week. You can message them or schedule a video visit at any time.

We also have health coaches there. Another great aspect of the program. Our coaches are here to help you accountable, to hold you accountable to the goals you set around your exercise therapy, as well as other healthy lifestyle goals such as movement, sleep, stress management, and nutrition.

Our coaches work very closely with our members, and I always recommend our members come to any conversation with their coaches, letting them know what you want to work on because you know you best and they will follow your lead.

And again, the best part of all of this is that it's completely free and available to endowed faculty, staff, and dependents 18 years or older enrolled in an Aetna medical plan through Cornell University.

There is no co-pays, and there are no out-of-pocket costs for our members who are eligible.

If you're interested, feel free to go to this link. Henge Dot health slash Cornell University Care, where you can fill out an application. It's very similar to an intake form at a doctor's office.

It takes around 5 to 10 minutes and you'll be matched with your program and your care team.

From there, the next steps will be email to you and you can begin your exercise therapy journey by simply logging into the app and doing your first playlist and ordering your starter kit.

If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Health Support team at the contact information on the screen.

Thank you so much for your time.
