NYS COVID-19 Paid Leave Ending July 31, 2025

As of July 31, 2025, New York State’s COVID-19 Paid Leave law will officially expire. This law, enacted in March 2020, provided job-protected paid leave for employees subject to a mandatory or precautionary order of quarantine or isolation due to COVID-19.
After this date, employees will no longer be eligible for COVID-specific paid leave under this legislation. Standard leave policies will apply moving forward.
