New Dog Lovers Workforce Affinity Group Brings Connection to Campus
Calling all dog enthusiasts!
A brand-new Workforce Affinity Group (WAG), the Cornell Canine Connection, has launched on Viva Engage, and it’s bound to be your new favorite spot. This group is dedicated to Cornellians who share a passion for all things canine —whether you’re a proud dog parent, an aspiring pet owner, or simply someone who lights up at the sight of wagging tails.
WAGs are employee-run communities designed to connect faculty and staff across Cornell with shared interests. They offer a great opportunity for Cornellians to make new friends and build connections with colleagues, even if working remotely or in a hybrid environment. Some current groups include Cornell Cyclists, New Parents at Cornell, and the Big Red Welcome for New Hires. “The Workforce Affinity Groups will bring people together and create a sense of camaraderie among colleagues. Whether you're in a group with fellow anglers, or knitters, the WAGs will be a place for connection, support, and plenty of information,” notes Cassandre P. Joseph, Director, Employee Engagement at Cornell.
The Cornell Canine Connection will bring together dog enthusiasts to discuss a wide variety of dog-related topics, share stories about our companions, and celebrate all things canine! Members can also look forward to articles and guest posts from Cornell’s own veterinarians, and learn about community service opportunities, like supporting events assisting local animal shelters.
Whether you’re looking to meet fellow dog lovers, discover resources about pet care, or just share your latest adorable pup photos, this is the place for you. Everyone is welcome, with or without a furry companion.
Join the Cornell Canine Connection today and let’s make campus life a little more pawsome! 🐾
