New Careers Hub Launching August 22

Cornell Workforce Recruitment and Retention is pleased to announce the launch of a new internal career hub for Cornell employees. The new platform offers an easier to use and more personalized way for staff to explore career opportunities across the university.
Although this project was initiated well before the current hiring pause and budgetary constraints, the AI automation and process improvements will serve Cornell well through our current situation and benefit the university and our employees into the future as part of a larger optimization of HR functions currently underway.
You can take advantage of these new tools right now: login to create a profile, upload your resume, and highlight professional strengths, interests, and career goals, which will feed into the system and help our talent teams and leaders identify you for great opportunities when they arise.

FAQs
What is the new internal career hub?
The internal career hub is part of a larger employee recruiting and retention project undertaken by Cornell Human Resources in partnership with Phenom.com. The project includes a dynamic new website for external job seekers, the internal career hub for current employees, and a robust AI-driven contact management system (CMS) that integrates with Workday to streamline hiring and communications processes for greater efficiency, vastly improved user experience, and personalized internal career opportunities. This project is part of an initiative to optimize HR functions university-wide, including policy updates and program improvements for greater internal career mobility and advancement.
How will the new internal career hub benefit employees?
Employees can create a profile by simply uploading their resume or filling in information manually. Add details to be personally matched with job openings across the university – a big improvement over searches based solely on job titles. This will also enter employees into our talent community where Cornell talent teams are actively seeking internal candidates.
Why is HR launching this program now, during a hiring pause?
This project was initiated nearly three years ago and contractually committed before the current hiring and budgetary constraints. Although there’s a pause on general hiring, mission-critical roles still need to be filled.
The reasons this project was undertaken were:
1) to keep Cornell competitive for top talent by providing a more modern, dynamic jobseeking experience in step with market expectations.
2) to support employee retention by improving internal advancement and mobility, which has been identified as a top reason for staff leaving the university.
