The university will provide a one-time payment to current employees who were here on August 1, 2020 and experienced the temporary reduction in salary or retirement contributions in the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

Governor Hochul has designated COVID-19 a highly contagious communicable disease that presents a serious risk of harm to the public health under the new act. This designation requires the university to implement additional measures beyond those currently in place.

Essential and non-essential travel for Cornell-related business and research travel is permitted, provided that all faculty and staff follow the necessary public health guidance and ensure that all financial expenditures have been approved prior to travel.
