Mack is our HR Talent Specialist for both Cornell Engineering and Cornell Bowers CIS. He is a proud Queer Latino, two-time immigrant, and first-generation college graduate. His areas of focus are Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Access, and Belonging (DEIA&B), talent management, workplace climate, and organizational behavior and change. In his free time, Mack enjoys exploring Ithaca's natural beauty and trying new vegan recipes. A passionate technical recruiter who enjoys getting people excited about career opportunities! Over the past decade, I have supported efforts in different business divisions to include government services, information technology, office professionals and compliance, industrial and manufacturing, non-profit, and executive search recruiting. The most rewarding part of my job is interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and the relationships that I have developed. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies from San Jose State University (SJSU); and a Master’s Science degree in Law with a concentration in Human Resources Law and Compliance from the University of Southern California (USC). Carolyn Chow’s career has been devoted to diversity and inclusion in higher education. She came to Cornell after 19 years of serving as Director of Admissions and Student Diversity at the University of Washington School of Nursing. She joined Cornell University in May 2019 as the Staff Recruiter and Inclusion Program Lead for the College of Veterinary Medicine. She became a Talent Acquisition Partner in the Office of Talent Attraction and Recruitment in October 2022. Carolyn loves and appreciates being supported in making a positive impact in the community and at Cornell through her work. Shallena Cunningham is a HR Talent Management Consultant with over 4 years’ experience with helping people change their lives by finding careers best suiting for them, their families, and their career goals. Specializing in communication and relating to others on a personal and professional level, Shallena uses that experience to fill open positions with the most qualified, talented people. By focusing on getting exceptional people, in the best professional position, Shallena has been able to put her Anthropology and MBA degrees earned at Michigan State University and the University of Memphis, respectively to good use. Over the years, her strengths in relationship building, sales and marketing has garnered some recognition by numerous Fortune 500 companies as well as educational institutions. Shallena may spend her days in Ithaca, New York, but it’s the idea of helping people change their lives that gets her up in the morning. When not at Cornell University, Shallena is an avid sports fan and loves spending time cheering on her Spartans and Tigers with her friends and family.

Jamie Doss is a Talent Acquisition Partner with a passion for higher education and serving others. She has worked in higher education for over 5 years and enjoys helping others achieve their goals. She currently recruits for high volume positions at Cornell and enjoys connecting with potential candidates about career opportunities. Jamie holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Lindenwood University-Belleville, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She is currently a doctoral student at Saint Louis University pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration. She is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a passionate lifelong learner. I look forward to connecting and helping you embark on your journey at Cornell!
Keionda Lewis is an experienced Talent Sourcer, specializing in diversity and inclusion in higher education. On her free time, you can find her reading, going on a hike with her one-year-old mini-Doberman, Ozzie, or serving in her local church and community.
Freddie Salley is a Recruiter at eCornell. Freddie joined eCornell in November 2021. She is responsible for all of eCornell’s recruiting, managing end to end recruitments, including partnering with hiring managers on recruitment strategy, creating position descriptions, and identifying qualified candidates.
Prior to joining eCornell, Freddie was the Assistant Director of Advising in the College of Engineering at Cornell.
Freddie has an M.A. in English from Clemson University and B.A. in History from University of Maryland, College Park, MD.
When Freddie isn’t working, she enjoys going to concerts, sporting events (go Lakers!), reading novels, and baking.
