How to access your retiree programs, perks, and discounts.

Retiree ID Card

Your Retiree ID card is the key to taking advantage of many of the perks and discounts available to Cornell retirees!

You can get one from the HR Services & Transitions Center in the East Hill Office Building, 395 Pine Tree Road, Suite 130. No appointment is necessary; hours are M-F, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Call (607) 255-3936 with any questions.

Perks

CFCU Community Credit Union

  • If you are a member when you retire, you can remain a member with the same privileges as an active employee. Visit mycfcu.com or call (607) 257-8500 with questions.

TCAT Bus

  • Use your CU ID card to ride TCAT buses throughout Tompkins County anytime the bus service is operational. Check out www.TCATbus.com to plan a trip and download one of the real-time transit apps for live bus tracking.  

Parking (Ithaca campus)

Courses at Cornell 

  • Retirees are eligible to enroll in up to six credit hours per semester at no charge. Enroll through Continuing Education and Summer Sessions in B20 Day Hall, (607) 255-4987. You will need permission from the course instructor and a representative of Benefit Services.

Libraries

  • Cornell retirees are entitled to full library privileges – your ID is your library card.

Athletic events

  • Emeritus professors or retirees with 25 years of service are offered two tickets to all athletic contests except Men’s Ice Hockey and post-season contests. All other retirees with 10-24 years of service continue to be eligible for the same privileges they enjoyed while employed. Visit the Cornell Big Red website for schedules and more information.

Cornell Recreation Connection (CRC)

  • The CRC encourages camaraderie and the Cornell spirit among staff, faculty, and retirees through social experiences and recreational events, including popular discounted day trips to New York City and other destinations. See what's coming up next!

Events

Cornell Wellness

  • Retirees and their spouses/partners can choose from a wide range of activities, lectures and workshops that support fitness, nutrition, and well-being. Swimming, healthy aging, cooking, yoga, knitting, and meditation are just a few of the many programs available. Visit the Cornell Wellness website for all the details.

Statler Club

  • Emeriti faculty are automatically members of the Statler Club and do not pay dues. Memberships are open to any retired member of university faculty or exempt staff who have been a member in good standing for a period of at least five years. Call (607) 254-2589 for details.

  • Your Cornell ID can save you money with a range of local and nationwide products and services, including retailers. The Division of Financial Affairs maintains an updated listing. Please note that not all discounts apply to retirees.
