With the increasing vaccination of faculty, staff, and students, more on-campus operations can, and should, return to normal over the coming months in anticipation of a fully in-person fall semester beginning in August. All repopulation plans must be developed in alignment with the principles, workplace guidance, and priority framework set forth.
New legislation in response to the COVID-19 pandemic allows benefits-eligible employees to enroll in or make changes to 2021 flexible spending accounts any time during the year, without experiencing a life status change.  It also impacts deadlines and rollovers for 2020 accounts.
In compliance with the NY HERO Act, employees are required to complete the Daily Check health assessment each day before arriving on campus or accessing facilities, regardless of vaccination status.
With many employees still working remotely, it's important to know the guidance for temporary arrangements, moving a primary residence, new hires, and working from another country outside the U.S.
Employees working a flexible arrangement such as remote work, are expected to meet the same standards of performance as they would be expected to meet if they were not working a flexible arrangement.
Employees who would like to pick up standard-issue work equipment from their Cornell workspace to bring home for working during COVID-19 should connect with their manager to follow their department/unit item pick-up process.
